Let's Talk Menopause ....

Let's talk MENOPAUSE ..... so, I'm gonna have a little bit of real girl chat here.  I'm 42 ...  So this year my body decided to fuck up my life.  Earlier this year, I got a second outbreak of my Guttate Psoriasis (the red dots) and March 10th was my last period.  We've thought pregnancy, and upon negative tests, we though .... what the hell, is it menopause??  I'm too YOUNG to have menopause.

Seriously ....  too young.  I still get called my husband's daughter.......  I am TOO YOUNG.   (covers mouth and snickers)

Anyway ..... imagine my surprised when after my period in March (10th) ... I didn't get one in April, at all.... or May....... OR EVEN JUNE.

4 pregnancy tests say nope .......

......... so why?

I'm TOO YOUNG for menopause ...

Well we found out it's not.... menopause that is.  He ordered blood tests prior to my appointment.  He said (whichever hormone it is, or whatever) ...  normal is between 1 and 10 (I'm at a 5) ...  pre-menopause is around a 20 and full blown menopause is like 40 and up.  So I'm not even CLOSE to either of them.

It's just my body being really stupid.

Like...... HEY - getting CFS isn't enough, have FIBRO too ... oh lets add Psoriasis ... not enough?  Well how about some gestational diabetes that never goes away .... turns into full on diabetes!  Still not enough, well lets throw in GUTTATE Psoriasis ... that'll be FUN!!  No, want more???  How about female reproductive issues.... wait...  hold my beer, she's already got that .... ah...... MORE female reproductive issues, like let's completely give her a vacation from her monthly shark week!  .... gimme back my beer, she'd LIKE that!!  But I'mma still gonna do it.

Yep..... this is how my body works.   It's against me in every possible way.

Happy Birthday To Me!!!

I am 42 ....  yep, 42.  Believvvvvve it. 

How'd this happen?  Last year I had a baby on my hip, didn't I?  I was just in class at the high school?   I wish I could say "when my life was more carefree" buuuuuut .... it wasn't.  Nothing about being sick as a teenager screams "carefree" .... 

Still.....  I was just this girl.... 

I am happy I'm aging well.  (pic above) I was 17...  (pic below) ...  17 the pic with the clouds, 18 with the green sweater, and 41 in the other photo (brown shirt) ...  

So yesterday (the 24th) my Mom & Step-Dad had a BBQ ...  it probably wasn't even because of my birthday but my Mom messaged me and goes "BBQ on Sunday" ... no asking, just BE THERE.   Later I realized it was the day before my birthday and I thought ... well hell ....  So I message my mom and I'm like...... 

Me: Is there going to be cake?

Mom: Why? 

(insert dropped chin, hanging jaw, shocked face)  How could she forget the day that I entered the world and shocked her with the lack of a penis  .... 

Me: Ohhhhhhhh I don't know..... 

Mom:  (no response) 

I'm dying here.  My mommy doesn't love me anymore, she doesn't even REMEMBER my birthday is Monday ....  

Me:  MOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM CAKE!!!!  Haven't you figured out why yet? 

Mom:  (like 20 minutes later) you can't have sugar 

REALLY!?!? 

Mom:  "I thought I'd put a candle in the watermelon" 

Me:  BUT I CAN'T EAT WATERMELON!!!!!!!!!!!!

She literally forgets I'm allergic to food ... how can you forgot???  ::: sigh ::: 

Then I had to talk her INTO it .... begging "Mommy I've been good" .... "I barely even eat sugar now!"   I feel like a little kid asking for a puppy .... 

I got cupcakes AND brownies!!  LOL ... she was even looking through the collection of candles to find a 4 and a 2 lol....   she couldn't, but she goes ....  I have a 1 and a 3 ...  (cuz 13 is my lucky/favorite number lololol) 

Elly's dad even dropped Elly off a little early so she could spend time with Nana and Papa cuz they hadn't seen her in awhile... 

We had burgers and sausage and salad ... (Elly has banana on her plate too) .... I had a burger and a lot of salad, I looooooove my salads. 

Then the cupcakes came into play.   I ended up putting my elbow in mine when I was trying to catch Elly from falling off the stool and it fell on the ground. 

But this kid is a genius... not really he is...   he takes off the bottom half the cupcake and puts it on top and makes a cupcake/frosting sandwich!! 

Elly liked to lick the frosting, and she liked the "twinkle-twinkle" ... she dropped one on the ground and kept asking me for the "twinkle" and pointing down - I didn't get it - then the light bulb went off... and I was like........ ooooooooooooooooooooooooooohhhhhhhh... so I picked up the star ring. 

Jaxson was a bit bummed ... he didn't get much food dropped for him.  Poooor Jaxon.  And then, there is me......

On the way home I took these....

My wonderful hubby made me my lemon cake at home .... it was GOOD!! 💗💙💚💛💜💓🎂

I also requested this, which I didn't get on my birthday but I got a couple days after!!!  OMG this stuff is amazing.  My favorite food ever ...... then it's burgers & fries/hashbrowns ....
