The Countdown Continues.......

So Cookie, our resident Elf on a Shelf, decided to have a little num party with his new friends, the bears.

This is after I had to rescue him from the Magic Door....

Anyway .....   today I got a lot going on.   I'm not feeling well.   I have a lot going on right now.   But alas ...  I have a lot to get done today.  I want to get more of our Christmas cards done...

I've got about 43 out of 100 (about) cards done.
This is just addressing and signing right now.  Still have the process of stuffing with Christmas letters & Pictures.

I got some dud cards though....   for example....  this card.........
Same card - see .  but the top one has the "pre-written" portion done.... the bottom one was blank....
Silly silly ...

I got three clients done this morning - YAY!   And I have some article writing to get done this afternoon.  Plus I want to get more cards done.  Meanwhile, the younger two are in school, I got Noah working on his stuff, and Cal working on his stuff....  ahhhhhhh quiet time.

It's going to be a happy Tuesday!   But only if I can lay down, get cards done, and read.  Heehee....

Elf on a Shelf - Day 3

So Cookie had an adventure last night.   I just don't understand - I thought Santa sent him to try to instill GOOD behavior in the kids!   So what on Earth would posses him to do THIS???
 Cookie TP'ed the tree!!!
And he totally looks proud of himself!!!!
Calahan was sitting there playing a game and he didn't even NOTICE ..... how can you not notice????

And then there was the cat!
She didn't like that Cookie TP'ed the tree - so she tried to help take it down.

And don't forget!

29 Days until Christmas ....

How are you doing on your Christmas shopping?  On your filling out your Christmas cards?  Or do you not send out Christmas cards?

I love Christmas cards.  I love to send them out - love to get them too :)

So I have about 100 to send out - and I've got (at the time of writing this) 27 out of about 100 done.  My hands are yelling at me.  I keep telling them to shut up....

I'm sloooooowly getting them done. I hope they are done - DONE - by this coming weekend.

So .........  this is how the kids found Cookie this morning .....
It looks like he tried to create a snow storm and got caught up in it....   silly Cookie ...

The boys made Cookie magic doors so he could get back and forth to Santa easily ....
Nathan with his door, Noah with his door and Kaedyn with his door that they each made
Kaedyn and his door
Noah and his door ....
Nathan and his door

30 Days to Christmas!

That's right ...... I don't care if you don't want to hear it.  I don't care if it freaks you out.  There are ONLY 30 DAYS TO CHRISTMAS........

da-da-dummmmmmmmmmmmmmm....   muahahahhahahahaa....

Are you ready???

I'm not .....  ::: sigh :::  But I'm getting there.  I was getting gifts wrapped today of stuff that I've gotten over the last several months for the three friend who wanted to exchange gifts this year.   I've been storing everything in a certain area ... and pulled everything out today to see what I had - and start to wrap stuff so I can get it sent out.  I got my Christmas Letter done (update letter) ...  and I am working on addressing Christmas Cards.   I was *hoping* to have a family photo to include - but the one we took Thanksgiving night just didn't turn out (ugh) ...

Sooooooo ... either I just do the one of the boys, or I take another.  I might try to do one at our house - but I'm not sure how we'll do that right now .... guess the timer.  HA HA ....

So .... Cookie ... our Elf on a Shelf........ showed up last night and was sitting at my computer this morning.

The kids dove into the snowflake kissed donuts but we're going to have some hot coco in a bit :)  That way they can try their new coco - how fun!!!  And so nice of Cookie.

I hear about all the mischief other elves are getting into - I just hope that Cookie behaves, I mean... they ARE suppose to be setting an EXAMPLE for our kids.

Oh... my mom stopped by today with some stuff she got the kids.   She found a WHOLE BUNCH of dinosaur clothes for Nathan.  He'll LOOOOOOOOVE them so much.   There are times where the ONLY thing he'll wear is something with a dinosaur on it.   So it's awesome!

She got him this sweatshirt (the red one) and then got Kaedyn the black one... lol...

The black one glows in the dark!!!  AWWWWWWESOME!!!

Not too much more to report tonight.  I'm working on finishing the book I'm reading.... I'm trying to write a short story ....  not sure if I like it so far.  I'm so picky....

It's Black Friday!

As countless millions of people across the U.S.A. are out in crowds and germs and crazy today going after and hunting those AMAZING deals (or working) that put the stores across the country in the "black" for the year....

......   I am at home eating left overs!  MUAHHAHAHHAHAA ....   There are 31 Days until Christmas!

I put up our tree the night before Thanksgiving.  Our tradition is to do it ON Thanksgiving but I knew I'd be too tired after getting home from Mom's ... and I was right.   So it's been up - but un-decorated.

The only problem is .....  our cat seems to think it's an open invitation and  more specifically that it's a huge cat toy for her.
This morning we finished our tree.  We put ornaments on it ....    Our angel at the top, by the way, changes colors...  it's pretty awesome.

I spent some time this morning preparing for COOKIE to arrive.

Who's Cookie?

Well Cookie is the kid's magic Elf on a Shelf.

So I "found" a letter in the mail today ....  it magically appeared there.... it was announcing his expected arrival tonight, and how he's looking forward to seeing them tomorrow when they wake up.  AND ... how he's looking forward to spending time with them this year - for the first year - because last year they got him too close to Christmas.   His letter included a photo of him on vacation at the beach.

Noah got the envelope so he could try to read it to his brothers....
Here he's telling them it's from Cookie and giving his address ...
 Opening it up
 Reading the letter ....
Here is the letter and the envelope ...

I also wrapped up the Angry Birds PJ's that Nana and I picked up last night and a couple movies I've been hanging onto ....  for some of the gifts they can pick from each week.

Explanation .......  Calahan's first Christmas he had SO MUCH stuff and he was only (a few days away from a year old) ...  so I got to thinking.  Well, kids want to snoop in their gifts, and they always beg to open them early ....  so.... we started a tradition where the kids could pick one gift (or a joint gift) to open each week.   So either on Thanksgiving night or Friday night following Thanksgiving - we start it.  And they open one gift each week on that night - until Christmas.

So tonight they got to get an individual gift.
The three younger boys got Angry Bird PJ's and Cal got X-Box 360 Live time....
Nathan and Kaedyn in their PJ's
 Noah in his PJ's
Nathan made me take another photo of him too ... lol...

But that's about all for tonight - time to get my gremlins to sleep so Cookie and I can have a discussion about their behavior.
