2009 Family Photos

We meant to take them Christmas Day ... but we hung out in our PJ's all day, eating, playing, laughing.... just having fun not caring about the world outside our house...   and so we took our photos the day after before Dennis went to work...

This is the only family one that turned out half way decent.... (same pic)

Other pictures of the kids...

Nathan would NOT sit still so I couldn't get a nice close up one like I did the other kids, but I thought this one where he's yelling "TA-DA!" was pretty darn cute!

This picture just cracks me up ...

Noah really really needs a hair cut but he won't let me do it and Daddy hasn't pulled out the clippers yet.  He (Daddy) is the only one Noah will let do it.   You mention barber shop and he breaks out in tears... so until Daddy breaks out the clippers, Noah will be a shaggy dog.

If you haven't checked out our Christmas Eve & Day photos ... I just posted them, below :)

Christmas comes but ONCE a year... (pic heavy)

So it's 3 days after Christmas ...... and all through the house....... children are bickering, saying "give me the mouse!" ...  the babies are all tucked in, for their naps, with care...  and there is chocolate milk spilled all over what they wear...  Mommy rushes into the room, no one is sight...  "Merry Christmas to All, and to ALL a good.... " she looks outside...    "day?" ...  sighs...  "get me out of here, I have a headache!"

Yep yep yep.......  So Christmas Eve morning Dennis and I got up super early and woke up the Teen, told him he was babysitting (he was warned the night before) ...  ran off to get his paycheck, and got the last of the stocking stuffers we needed.  He picked up my Christmas gift, and then proceeded to trip over his tongue and then go "oh crap, forget I said that"  Heehee...  I had a pretty good idea what I was getting, and I was right.

He did get me the SIMS 3 Expansion AND a Nora Roberts book (that I already have!) ...  lol...  needless to say, the book went back!  He felt so bad and kept saying "how was I suppose to know" .. lol..  just assume I have them all unless it's a hardcover or just released in paperback ..

Anywhoooo...   Nanny & Papa and Santa ... and us too...  made sure the kids had a very decent Christmas.   In addition to the gifts they opened during our 4 weeks from Thanksgiving to Christmas (we open a small gift the night of Thanksgiving and every week after ... helps the kids make it to Christmas without tearing into the gifts... and other reasons.) ...   Dennis and I even got a nice photo frame from the people who helped Cal & Noah's Dad with his gifts.   Super nice of them.

We open our gifts on Christmas Eve - sometimes we only open some, sometimes them all...  this year, we opened everything and then just the Santa gifts were out Christmas Morning.   Here are some pictures from Christmas Eve...

Kaedyn sleeping... I loooooooove this picture (Christmas Eve Eve)

Our tree after wrapping ALL those gifts ...... (the pile of ornaments on the arm of the couch were those found UNDER the tree thanks to little hands! LOL)

Nathan being GOOFY!!!

Master Noah

Calahan (after being told to cover up the horribly placed hole in his jeans he didn't know about, he promptly changed and threw away)

"Ho Ho Ho ... I'm a Merry Kaedyn"

Hey look Mommy, it SAYS something ....
"all Mommy wants for Christmas is a silent night"

"I am soooooooo cool, you just have NO idea!"

OMGosh!! LOOK!!!  A rare opportunity where they are CLOSE ENOUGH TOGETHER to be in the same photo frame!!!!  (incase you are wondering what is around Nathan's waist, it's cat ears from Halloween)

Kaedyn checking out all the pretty packages

"Nathan the green nose Tator...... had a very stickery nose..... "

The kids with their piles of gifts....  Noah made out man!

A lot of the babies gifts were for BOTH of them...  so Kaedyn didn't get a lot just for HIM... Nathan got more cuz he got some playdoh and stuff... Kaedyn is to little to play with that...

Here are some collages of their opening gifts

The kitchen stuff the babies got was a hit.  They haven't stopped mixing and stirring and "baking" lol..

It's too bad that they don't make either a more neutral color, or a secondary color...   oh well, huh?  I'm not afraid of pink...  hopefully I won't hear about this years down the road "Hey, I remember how you got us PINK stuff for our play kitchen!"  Well boys, it's no MY fault the toy companies don't realize that little boys like to play pretend kitchen too and with baby dolls and stuff.  I have nurturing boys!  What can I say?

Noah absolutely loves his Wowwee Alive Husky Puppy ... or he says "Pup Alive" .. lol..  he named him THUNDER ...

And he has caused a BIG uproar in our house!!  Why?? Well because Nathan wants him to, something fierce!   So much so that he has cried and cried and cried and carried on so much.   Nanny went out on Saturday and got Nathan his own and is sending it.  After much deliberation on the Toys R Us webiste, Nathan decided on the Leopard ... so it should be arriving in today, or hopefully no later then tomorrow (but I'm thinking Wednesday) ...  Right now, Noah has to keep Thunder in his room as to not upset Nathan (sad huh? gotta tip toe around a 2 yr old) ...  But Noah let Nathan hold Thunder for a little while, twice.  The first time, it was for 2 seconds, the second time... about 10 minutes.  (the photo was taken Christmas Day)

Now....... Noah has a favorite blanket, it's a knot one that I made him when he was a baby, it's blue with bears on one side, clouds on the other... he doesn't like sleeping without it.  But he's been wanting a blanket like mine for a long time (mine meaning the one I got Dennis two Christmas ago that i stole! HA!) .. anyway ... I got everyone a blanket this year and Noah asked me what color his was (I mean after all three of us have opened ours and he sees one like that) so he asked me weeks ago what color his was, and I "jokingly" said PINK... and so when he opened his he goes "YOU LIED!" and then I found him laying with his pup and the blanket that night, no knot blanket in sight...

My lil boy is growing up ...  don't tell him that though, he'll get MAD!

Then Santa came... he filled stockings, left the older boys matching sweaters and the younger ones matching outfits...  brought Calahan a huge stuffed Killer Whale, a gaming keyboard and mouse (which he already knew about - story below) ...  Noah the Imaginext Batman Cave, Nathan the Smart Bounce and Spin Pony (which he's playing on right now so I can type this up) ... and Kaedyn (who is napping) the Little People Farm!

Noah ... who was the first to wake up ..... I had been up until almost 5am the night before playing SIMS3 World Adventure (addicting addicting game) ...  and a little after, Nathan woke up so he ended up sleeping between Dennis and I cuz the couch was occupied... now, I don't sleep well with kids in the bed, so the 2 hours of sleep I did manage to get before Noah came rushing into our room with excitement yelling "SANTA CAME SANTA CAME" wasn't very good.

Then Kaedyn woke up ... and I was started to at this point, let me tell you - I seriously needed tooth picks to prop the eyelids open at first!  Now this is Kaedyn's first Christmas where he has a little understanding ...

(Noah, Nathan & Kaedyn all got spinners that light up in their stockings - each one different so we know who's is who's and they all love them)

Huuuummmmm, I wonder what Horse tastes like...  (notice his tongue out a little!?)

Funny, it tastes like Chicken!!

Then Calahan woke up...  and if he sees this later on and yells "MOM, my shirt is OFF" and I just have to say in my defense, I totally told him that I was putting it in my blog and GAVE him the opportunity to put a shirt on.

Calahan, he says "this whale is evil it has red eyes" ... and he already knew what he was getting - because not knowing what the mouse was when I opened it, I opened it infront of him - then shoved it back in when I realized what it was, and he goes "I saw that" and I said "shuddup no you didn't" and then a couple days later there was a knock on the door and Cal goes "It's UPS" and then beat me to the door where he found an UNWRAPPED and postage paper, UNBOXED Keyboard.... nice.....

And then Nathan was the last to wake up (well actually Daddy was, who was also up until 5am playing) .. but he came out into the living room in a daze... heehee...

Huh?  What's this?

Emptying his stocking...

He had gotten a ring pop in his stocking (his very first one) and it turned his tongue bright red! LOL...  so while we were searching the house high and low for the batteries we got for this thing, he was bouncing on the box sucking on his ring pop! LOL

"Look Momma, I'm like Kaedyn!"

Can't you see I'm trying to PLAY!?!?

Kaedyn is watching the game part on TV while Nathan was bouncing and playing...

Put Kaedyn on for a turn.... and he was NOT impressed at ALL and wanted down, he has been by it, spinning the spinner on it, he has tried to bounce it from the side, but he had no interest until getting ON it.  He did, however, get it on it BY HIMSELF ... yesterday ..

Over all...  Christmas was good :)

And now that I've bored you with a million photos! LOL....  we had a very good ham meal on Christmas Day (since Dennis had to work Christmas Eve until 6pm) ... and we hung out in our PJ's all day playing together all day!
