We moved into our little apartment in September, and I had an idea on where to put up a big tree, but plans changed. We got a little 4 foot tree and some big cheap ornaments because ours were buried in storage ... it worked, I like it :)

So Bubba got woken up and was super crabby ... making grunts and groans when spoken to ... instead of actual responses ... well, I supposed grunts and groans are responses regardless...

Nathan didn't need to be told twice, or once for that matter ... he was already pulling out the tissue paper until I caught him, and he gave me this look of innocence ... "I do not know what you speak of Mother...." dammit, I hate when they call me "mother" ...
Noah happily prying himself away from his gaming for a minute to pose with his bag.... and Kinsleigh is wondering if there are bones in there....

I have had a really really rough year this year. Most of it, I've spent in bed because it's the only way I can find comfort in the chronic debilitating pain I'm in constantly that I just have to live with. Thankfully I've been starting to do better. At least I think I'm doing better. I'm getting out of bed, and in the living room... my biggest problem is that my legs hurt so badly if they aren't straight - which is why the bed makes things easier ...
So this year, when faced with the situation of wrapping everything, I thought ...... awwwww fuck it. I found an appropriate sized gift bag that would fit all their gifts, and then I shoved them all inside and walah! DONE!
Shila was all ..... "I'll wrap the girls gifts." I looked at her, pointed to the wrapping paper ... told her to have a good ol' time. So she did, she wrapped the girls gifts.
Meanwhile I'm thinking .... "Oh to be that happy and excited about wrapping gifts ...."
Meanwhile I'm over here all ... "I'm old, and lazy" ... .tosses gifts in bags, one bag per kid... and then, I take them out under the tree ... and I realize I missed two gifts. Crap! So they got their own bags (one for Nate, one for Kaedyn.)
Meanwhile, Elly is happily chowing down on her Cookie Crisp cereal The boys got to open their gifts while she was eating ....

This is that one gift that didn't fit in his stocking ... ha ha ha .... All the adults (DB, me, Cal & Shila basically got gifts in only the stockings. We didn't have a lot of money to spend on each other. But we made sure that everyone got something nice/wanted...)
Nathan was super excited to see his new Pokemon game for his Switch! This was his must have, that Nana & Papa got him. They got Kaedyn a Mario game that I didn't get a good pic of with him. Cal and Noah each got Destiny 2 for their computers - so they can play together. That was their must haves - which is what Nana and Papa get each year for them. Usually from Santa - which Papa usually does, but this year Bubba and Tator said they knew Santa wasn't "real" ... I had to have a talk with them about how Santa is a FEELING more than a person ... it's the Christmas FEELING ...
Nathan also got a Link (from Zelda) amiibo - he LOVES Link. He also got a Link/Zelda case for the Switch games. and a stiffed plushy Link.
Bubba looks like he could just go ahead and crawl into the bag!

Noah got a new blanket, two little Transformer figures (Bumblebee is and always will be his favorite) ... he also got the MAX book, and some super hero figures ... ....

Elly got a pair of shoes she loves (she got them before Christmas) ... and I had to go exchange them because the size 6 she got was a little bit too small... but Elly was absolutely attached to these shoes... so when I exchanged them, the ONLY size they had was 10... so now she has to grow into them but she will. We let her wear them round the house but not outside... and yes they light up when she walks.
