It's been a day......

Thanks to my Fibro/CFS... stupid head ... whatever, I have horrid sleeping schedule right now.  So I have been only been getting a couple hours of sleep at a time, I'm talking 2 hours, 3 hours at a time.   So last night I fell asleep around 2am, I think.  I didn't wake up until noon.

DB came home from school, and I asked him.... I said, "Did you not try to wake me up this morning? Or did I just not wake up?" ...  he goes, "You just didn't wake up."  LOL...

Figures.  It was my day of ..... if there was an Earthquake, a Tornado and a Hurricane, I'll sleep through it ...... Thank you!

:: sigh ::  But good news is - I actually FELT like I got some sleep!!  SCORE!

Alrighty .... and when I woke up, it's when this day turned bad.

Problem #1:  The phone (our house phone, yes we still have one! We need something that we can count on - and not something that can die, go out, stop working, whatever.) ... anyway - the phone had no dial tone.  But fixed it.

Problem #2: Shila ended up getting really mad, and then I got really mad ... so I did the dishes and re-washed all the bottles...  then yelled at them about how the kitten keeps eating the nipples of the bottles and they really don't seem to care.

Problem #3: DB comes in - while I'm in my mad, washing stuff - with my headphones in and music blasting in my hears because that's how I calm down when I am mad (or I blog it) ...and I was just PISSED, so I snapped at him.  Poor guy.   And then he says "Hey, the nurse cornered me as soon as I got in the school and was all like "I was just going to call you," and he said "well my ears were ringing" and she said that Nathan has spots on his belly and that she feels it's chicken pox."  I said "Doc said he thought they were bug bites way back when they started popping up."  Because we've actually already TAKEN him in for these spots thinking maybe they were a break through Chicken Pox thing - but they weren't and aren't.  He said "She didn't think they were bug bites, she thinks they are Chicken Pox."

Oye, SIGH... rolling my eyes.

It's funny because been there done that - but I know if we bring Nathan back to school - they are going to tell us to take him home until he has a DRs note saying he can return to school.

So - fine.  I called and left a message for the nurse to call me back.  The nurse I already called once today about Noah's labs.  They were supposed to call me and tell me that everything got insurance approved and the labs were sent to the lab place to check his protein and blood and other stuff.  His kidneys are getting sicker ...  anyway ...... they NEVER called me to tell me, so I finally remembered to call today - and they were all acting like they've been there forever - yeah well - should have told me.

So I am looking at Nate's belly, decided to check his back and .... my heart sank.  Like totally sank.

A month ago I was doing a monthly check of Nathan and I found a weird rash on his arm, so I took a pic of the rash, and I found this spot on his back that struck me as weird and odd and I didn't get a real good feeling about it, but it was just a flatter spot, with this little white spot in the middle, and I brushed it off as a pimple.   But I took a couple pictures.

So when I saw it this afternoon, I about ... died.  It's redder, it's extremely raised compared to last month ... I'm just freaked out.   Yeah.

So the nurse called back and I told her that the school nurse thinks Nathan has the Chicken Pox, and she asked what they look like... I said they are reddish/pinkish spots - some are flat, some are raised - and she says "any blistered" I went "nope, no fever either," and she goes "Why does she think he has Chicken Pox then?"  I said "I don't know," and told her about my theory about how they won't let him back in unless he has a note saying "you stupid" ...   <--- gonna eat my words if it turns out to be aren't I?

Calahan had Chicken Pox when he was 3.  I've been through it.  He got 3 spots and I didn't know what they were, they kept rising up though - and so we ended up taking him into the ER and as we were doing this - the house down the street started on fire - I ran back into the house to call 911.  When we got home from the ER - Cal and I went and sat on a curb and watched the Firemen.  ANYWAY - Cal got these 3 spots (and those three were the only ones that scarred) ...  and then he had a low grade fever, but never a high grade that you get to break out, he took THREE WEEKS to break out - and - yeah - it was a cluster F*** ...

So his DID start out looking the same way.  However, he has a lot of these spots - they come and go.  We have no clue what they are.  They aren't bug bites, I'm pretty sure.  We have cats, the cats don't sleep with him, they don't sleep on his bed....  I am highly allergic to flea bites - which, if you have animals, you always run the possibility of fleas...  but I have a cat who sleeps with us, and I haven't gotten any flea bites.  He doesn't have bed bugs.   I don't know what else they could be.   He had 2 or 3 spots two days ago, and now there is at least 10 on him.  So I don't know...  but I *STILL* don't think they are Chicken Pox.

So I told the nurse about the spot on his back too - and so he has an appt tomorrow in the afternoon. I'm trying not to worry about that spot on his back until then.

So ...  Kale and I went to a lumber yard while DB was taking a nap, and we were just looking around.  I found this table top frog fountain ...... OMGosh soooooo cute.

We also stopped at the nearby Greenhouse and I took some pictures.   There was a cat there, sunning herself - and I picked her up and was petting her, and she kept taking her paw and pushing my hand away so she could get away ...   geez cat, I get the hint.

Seahawk Pride!  I showed this to DB and he says "Should be Vikings" ..... @@  <== eyes rolling

The BUDDHAS!  The Frog and the Turtle are amazzzing!

These OWLS ...... OMG  ....  I looooove them......

They had penguins too!!!!!  So cute!!!

I love this angel!

So they had a fairy garden outside, and I was like - OMG I soooooo want to make one of these.  BADLY - it's been something I've been wanting to do.  For awhile.  I thought - oh they might have some fairy garden stuff inside the shop - so that's what initially got me to go in there ...

And they DID!!!!

My neighbor girl (she's 10) ... her name is Abby, and she made this in Girlscouts and she brought it over to me.  Awwwwwwwww...  she's super shy and her mom and brother Andrew came with her.  It was sweet.  We told them the names of our cats.  Apologized for their rude behavior... lol... we find them sleeping on their van all the time.  She just laughed and told us it wasn't a problem, they like cats.

Then I cut my hand, and as I was walking into my room - I felt a POP in my foot and suddenly I couldn't walk.  I didn't twist it, didn't roll it..... just POP while I was walking.

So ....  my feet are at <---- that end....  my leg is going ---> way ...   but it swelled up really bad right away .....  so DB made me go in.

Notice .... it says FOOT not ankle.  LOL.   The nurse (OMGosh made me a bit mad) ...  so I'm signing the forms they wanted me to sign and as I'm doing that the nurse comes out (and mind you - we were the ONLY ones there, they sent the lady with shortness of breath to the ER who came in) ...  and she improperly says my name (I'm used to it) ... and I said "yep" and she goes "you need to stop doing that and come on back, you can finish back here." I was just signing the last spot and needed to date it.  It's not like I was sitting there and continuing to fill it out or what not - I was just finishing signing my name.  Geez.  Then I said "That's fine, but I'm gonna be a bit slow" and she's all like .... exhaling .... I am handing DB the stuff, and I get up and start limping.  She totally doesn't even OFFER to get me a wheelchair.  She just keeps walking ahead of us and stopping and looking back like I'm wrecking her day.

So we get in the room and she goes "you hurt your ankle or foot?"  I said "one or the other, in that general area..." and she says "how did you hurt it?"  I said "walking" ....... (a bit of a pause where she was expecting me to elaborate) .... "did you fall?"  I said "Nope, I was just walking.  Didn't twist it or roll it - just pop and couldn't walk."

I don't think she was impressed with me.

The doctor came in and it was the same DR who I saw when I started to break out in red spots and he told me he was pretty certain that I had Chicken Pox.  I asked if it could be my psoriasis, I was pretty sure it was.  He was like "this is definitely a viral rash" ....... nope, it wasn't.  Went back to see him again when it was getting worse.  He STILL insisted it was Chicken Pox or the like even after I told him I think it's Psoriasis Guttate and he was all - nope.   I was right.  I should be a doctor.

He was like "Do you know the philosophy of RICE?"   I'm thinking - ya know - rice packs you can cool or heat up....   I said "Nope..." and he says ...  "It stands for Wrap, Ice, Compress & Elevate" ... and I'm thinking .. so you mean WICE not RICE ... it sounded like rice.

Kaedyn made me this when I got home and hobbled into the house.  LOL.

The worst part of all this - was I was FINALLY starting to feel better and spending time outside of the bedroom and more among the people with in my village (living room) ... so I'm kinda really mad about it.

I am NOT missing Nate's appt though - however, I have no clue how I'm gonna walk because they didn't give me crutches.  (crying)

So ..... after he went to sleep and woke up again...  DB and I had a conversation .....

Dennis ... my ever loving, amazing husband ... was telling me about his English discussion today in class. How Henry the VIII got brought up.. who is an ancestor on my side. He asked me if I knew anything about the religious aspects of his reign and the Catholic and Protestant ties. I told him I did remember something about it. So I was looking at my blog about him on my genealogy blog (because I wanted to make sure I had the three wives I was related to right) and I told him, I'm related to wives #2, #3, & #5 (Anne Boleyn, Jane Seymour and Catherine Howard) ... Anne and Catherine were 1st cousins. They were the only two who were executed by Henry VIII ... both beheaded. Dennis - my ever loving precious husband who loves me soooooo much - piped up and said "Well clearly they acted just like you..." ... yeah... he wants to behead me. Thanks.

Jane Seymour = 14th great grand aunt and Henry, Anne, and Catherine are my 2nd cousin 16x removed.

Yep. Still stuck on how he clearly thinks they were beheaded for being sassy women who didn't put up with their husband's crap. Ha!

Really ...... Boycott Target?

I have seen these Target bashing posts on FB.  At times, my FB is flooded with them.  With the hashtags ... bye target, and boycott target.  It's stupid, I think.

It's fear and hate, and people are seeing it as a protection thing.

I have seen them one too many times.  I felt the need to put a bunch of facts in one place.  So I made this FB posts ....

I am going to get on my soap box for a moment. I have a few things I want to say ... a few points I want to make.
All this crap about ‪#‎Target‬, and their restroom policies. "Let's SHAME Target, let's boycott Target...." ... Let me point out a few facts.
#1: I was molested as a child, and raped as an adult. You are more likely to be molested and/or raped by someone you know than by some random person in a bathroom. A friend of mine posted this fact this morning, I raised my hand thinking - yep, I'm on that boat too. I loved her status, which follows along the same lines as mine will, and told her I might steal it... although I'm not, I do appreciate her pointing that out and owning ‪#‎hertruth‬. STOP USING THIS AS AN EXCUSE.
#2: As a parent who has children of the opposite sex... I have taken my sons into the women's bathroom more times than I can count. I have changed their diapers, I have taken them into stalls. This is no different than a dad taking his daughters in the men's bathroom. I haven't ever felt wronged, or shamed for doing this. I have taken them into the bathroom with me until I felt comfortable and safe that they would be okay going in the "gender correct" bathroom, where I would sit outside the men's room door, and if needed, I would open that door, and call inside to make sure everything was okay - IF I FELT THE NEED TO. I would apologize to any man I would see, but everyone I have ever had contact with has understood. I recently saw a post by a Dad with a six-year-old daughter shaming Target, about how he can't send her into a woman's rest room by herself. My first thought - "Why are you sending your six year old into a strange bathroom by herself?" Do you allow her to cross the street without holding her hand? Can she call and order pizza on her own too? That might be extreme - but ... I mean come on. I am a concerned mother, at the age of six, my boys couldn't go into the bathroom by themselves without an older brother or their father. (so, reality, not by themselves!) If you are a concerned parent, why are you allowing them to go into the bathroom by themselves when they probably are not strong enough to open those big heavy doors by them-self? (no I am not talking about the stall doors.)
#3: You say you are concerned about pedophiles and molesters being able to go into the restroom with your DAUGHTERS - but in reality, they've been going into the bathrooms with your sons forever and that never concerned you. (I just shared a graphic about this.) - Also see point #7.
#4: Maybe you would like to separate the LGBT community - make them use their "own" bathrooms - so everyone is safe from them. Would that be right? It's okay to separate the LGBT community, and segregate them - but you believe that everyone of every skin color is equal because despite skin color, everyone is just a person. We're all made the same. Well.... you are right, we are. This includes the LGBT community. They are no different than anyone else. They still bleed the same. They get the same illnesses we do. They long for family and love and being accepted and heard, just like everyone else. I bet you used the ‪#‎BlackLivesMatter‬ hashtag? How is that ANY different? I have never used that hashtag, until this moment. Because it doesn't matter WHO you are, ‪#‎ALLlivesMatter‬! That's right... ALL of them.
#5: But the bible says...... please, stop right there. I thought God teaches tolerance and acceptance, that everyone should be forgiven and loved! But the Bible says..... ah, no..stop again. I don't care what the books of the Bible say. The thing I was taught in my Christian church was that GOD TEACHES TOLERANCE and everything else I just said. SO where is your tolerance? Where is your acceptance? We are all God's children... or not? There were men who had multiple wives in the Bible, and yet you say that true marriage is between ONE man and ONE woman, and all these men who have multiple wives are breaking the law. Yes some are, some are not, some are just following their religion, some have consensual relationships with multiple "wives" where all parties are knowledgeable and agreeable ... and some do break the laws and take 12 year olds as wives (however this was done back in the Bible too)... so what about these people in the Bible who had multiple wives? Stop choosing which parts of the Bible are acceptable, and which are not - to fit your religious beliefs. If you want to have your religious beliefs, that is fine. I don't judge you for them, anymore then you should judge someone else for THEIR religious beliefs. Jesus was Jewish, and yet people of many faiths believe in his teaching - his teaching of love and mercy, how only God should decide the fate of his flock, etc and so on. The Bible is a book that can be interpreted. The Bible, most important, is exactly what it means to YOU, and that's what is important.
#6: If a person who looked like a man, with facial hair and a deep voice walked into a women's room to use the toilet - people would be shocked and gasp. But the way a lot of people are saying what the law means - of course - HE would have to walk into the WOMEN'S BATHROOM because he has a vagina - or was born with female DNA. If a woman, with large breasts, full make-up, long hair, tight shorts or a short skirt - walked into a Men's room - guys would most likely react somehow - most women think they'd probably whistle or cat-call, women who may see it may go "OMGosh that SLUT! She's probably going in there to have sex with some guy." Women probably wouldn't be happy, especially if their boyfriend or husband was in there... some men might not be too happy either ... however, this woman has a penis and was born with male DNA. This LAW is to ALLOW ... THESE.... people who IDENTIFY as being a MAN or a WOMAN to use the bathroom of the gender that they identify with.
#7: People are mostly making this about MEN going into WOMEN'S bathroom because they want to rape or molest the females of various ages. Because THEY are sicko freaks who cannot control themselves. The TRUTH is - these people who commit sexual crimes are MORE LIKELY to NOT draw ATTENTION to themselves, they long to fit in and go UN-NOTICED so they can CONTINUE to commit their crimes. Let's also address the fact that WOMEN ARE GUILTY OF COMMITTING THESE CRIMES ALSO. It is NOT JUST MEN. So if you use a public bathroom, with people you do not KNOW - you are ALWAYS running a risk of this type of crime happening. Women steal little girls, kidnapping them. Men steal little boys, kidnapping them. Women molest girls, Men molest boys. What about those factors? How are you going to protect your children against that? YOU ARE SO WORRIED about perverted males going into women's bathrooms, "Let's protect our WOMEN and DAUGHTERS ..." ... if they would do that - they would do that without the law. And what about our DAUGHTERS and WOMEN who are with in the LGBT community? What about our SONS who are Transgender? What about protecting them???
I have two gay nieces who are under the age of 18. I have gay friends and probably gay family who haven't expressed such. I love ALL of these people, I want them to be respected and loved and HEARD just as much as everyone else is. They are not LESS, they have rights and feelings. I heart emoticon them all.
If one of my children were to end up in the LGBT community, I would love and support them the SAME WAY I DO NOW. THEY are my children! I would be PROUD of them for being who they are, and not being afraid to say it out loud! I am PROUD of my nieces!! I've told their Mom's so. (one has come out publicly, one has not - I have told the one who came out publicly that I am proud of her!)
I was watching a TV show recently, Marie Osmond was on and she is of one of these religions that is notorious for being LGBT intolerant. She proudly talked about her gay daughter, and when pointed out the religious beliefs, she said that she and her daughter may agree and disagree on several things, however, at the end of the day - THAT is her child, she will love her no matter what.
That is how - I feel - it should be. It's my opinion.
I personally do not care who I pee next two. I have anxiety using a public bathroom - but I pee when I have to pee. I have been known to seek out bathrooms where only one person can go in because I don't like public bathrooms, I would rather relieve myself in private. I am a more modest person. It's who I am. However, if we were to start having gender neutral bathrooms - I would STILL USE THEM. There are stalls that can be gone into - it's not like someone is WATCHING me pull down my pants, and let's face it - you get people who look through the cracks in ANY bathroom. Kids who look under the stall doors because they are curious. That won't change. EVERYONE has to pee, everyone has to poop! If you have a problem washing your hands next to someone of the opposite sex... well, I guess that's your issue. I have issues with spiders, I don't hate on people who love them. I have issues with clowns, if I were to attend a kids party that had clowns, I would have to just suck it up.
It just annoys me when people uses these issues as excuses. IF you don't want to use a bathroom with a man, then I guess you need to ask every female to drop her drawers to make sure she doesn't actually have a penis. Turning that around, other women will be able to ask you to drop your drawers and make sure YOU don't have a penis. But that's a violation of privacy, right?
Making this an issue is taking the privacy away from a lot of people.
The last thing I want to say is that - I have almost, VERY VERY VERY close to .... gone into the men's room to pee because of the LONG LINES at the women's bathroom and how badly I needed to pee. I would have done it, I might have been ashamed, a little, but I would not have been sorry. So much better than peeing your pants.
If you disagree with me - to the point - that YOU feel we can no longer be friends, please feel free to use the UNFRIEND feature. I may not always agree with you, but I have never made that an issue. If this is a point that is drawing the line, I understand. I am not going to debate with you because I believe you have the right to your opinion. Just please, know your facts before you state them as facts.

And then I saw these....

I had also looked at her page and she had posted this ..... said something like "well she said it more eloquently then I had...

A few other pictures..

Here are a few other pictures from yesterday that I wanted to share.....

We weren't sure that these would bloom or not.  But they did ...  we figured one would - but didn't know about the others.  But they all did......

Flowers....

I went in the bathroom .... saw this..... and I had to.

Noah was super amused that he had a banana car...

Kaedyn was caught being good again - and got another prize.

Nathan just came in the bathroom (with me) whining about something - LOL .... and then he entertained himself by doing this.....

Miss Elly had a good day!

She got to play with wrapping paper .... (got some in her mouth without us seeing and ended up having to get her mouth finger swept.)

She tried frozing....... and oooooooooooh boy did she like it!  She'd cry until you gave her more.  LOL....

At one point, Dennis went to sit outside.  We don't have a picnic table or anything yet, and so he did this.  LOL...

Nine is AWESOME!!!!!!

Today my little man Nathan turned NINE YEARS OLD ........

Nine is AMAZING.

A-MAZ-ING ...

Because a year ago in May, Nathan was in the PICU and he was so sick that he almost didn't make it to NINE .....

But here we are - at NINE!

Whenever someone has a birthday ....  Nathan looks at me all hopeful, with a little bit of excitement and a lot of HOPE and he whispers to me "my birthday?"  and I tell him no.  Then his face falls and he goes "ooooooh," all sad like.  So I do a quick count-down and tell him how far away it is.  We'll go through birthdays in order of who has them ...  but it doesn't matter.  Every birthday ... he's always hopeful it's his!!

I woke Nathan up this morning and crawling in bed with him.  I rubbed his little face and he popped open his eyes and looked at me.  So I smiled, and I sang HAPPY BIRTHDAY to him.  We had been doing a count down on his feed bags .... "Five more sleeps..." ... four, three, two, one...  so I said to him after I sang to him.  "Guess what today is!" and he goes.... "It's my BIRTHDAY!" ...

It is indeed, my son...  it is...... indeed.

Got the Littles ready for school - Kaedyn decided he wanted to make himself some bookmarks so he was busy doing that, and Nathan was doing what Nathan does ....  he was watching YouTube.  Which is his routine in the morning.

I pushed them outside to take some pictures :)  Nathan also had his Spring Pictures at school today.  Figured it was his birthday - so ..... Pictures it was!

Kaedyn was like, I want my picture taken too! LOL

We dropped off Kaedyn at his school (can't wait until they are both at the same school again) and headed to Nathan's school where there was a guy playing a violin on the lawn.  I was all "Oh look Nathan, you get serenaded on your birthday!"  He didn't get it...

While he was at school - we got his gift all ready.

He had gotten part of his gift already - we had put a WiiU on layaway and had slowly been paying it off. He's been wanting one for a couple years and asks for it all the time for birthday or Christmas.  There are certain games he wanted that he needed that for, and our regular Wii broke.  But he had gotten his WiiU already - as an early birthday gift - during Spring Break.  He also got to go to the zoo with Kaedyn and the girls ... had a picnic ... and some chaos.  I'll share those pictures soon.  Need to put my watermark on them though.  I haven't had the chance ...

Anyway - I had asked him that morning what he thought he was going to get - and he told me TWO presents.  We had one.  LOL... we had gotten the Disney Infinity for the WiiU also... and I picked him up some bubbles at the dollar store when I went there to get a couple of "boxes" to do something else for the boys.

We got him a balloon at the dollar store too - lol....   so I wrapped everything up, put his card on there, and the WiiU hand-held so that he remembered that was part of it too.

So the green boxes, and the blue ones we had gotten for a little "shelf" thing for the boys .... Kaedyn doesn't have a lot of storage space on his bed... he keeps a box on his bed to store some of his toys in.

Of course Nathan has a lot of stuffies/lovies from all of his hospital stays.  And he LOVES his stuffies.

We got his cake...

And I took these...

Nathan came home from school - this is him walking in the door seeing his balloon and gifts.

I kept asking him to wait for Bubba to get home, but he wasn't gonna wait.

Nathan was super happy with his gifts.  He looooves balloons.  Loves them.  He carried it around for the rest of the day, didn't let it go.

He loved his bed - with the blue shelves.

I showed Kaedyn his green ones when he got home.  They are Bubba approved!

We had noodles and sauce for dinner (one of Nathan's favorites, something we aren't making a lot anymore because of Kale's allergies.) .... and then had cake!

It was a very happy and successful birthday!!  :)
