Chaos Ensues.....

I am up to my eyeballs in boxes  ........ EYEBALLS ..   We started moving on the 17th and we finished on the 24th.  We were just moving 10 feet down ....   from an upstairs apartment into the ground floor apartment directly below us.

Why would we do something like that?

Well - for a few reasons....

1: My kids like to run around and jump and stomp and it's hard to stop them, especially when one is autistic....  and I know how *loud* it can be below us....

2: My kids couldn't go out to play much, mostly because of the previous tenants in this unit (I will explain more of this later) ...

3: Dennis is in a wheelchair because he can't walk ....... because he can't walk...... up.... the...... stairs.  That's right... wheelchairs don't go down stairs easy.   This way he can go outside and take the babies to the bus and all sorts of things......  he can be more involved.

Our house is a little calmer thanks to my not needing to yell at the boys every time they have a temper tantrum kicking the floor or chasing each other up and down the hall cuz it's raining out and they can't go run around outside, and it's easier cuz I can just shoo them outside and tell them to stay where I can see them...... so they can run that crazy energy they have out.

And I'm thankful the crazy neighbors that lived here before are gone.  SO .............. glad.

The guy - we'll call him *Ed* ...  he had PTSD due to military stuff....  he was constantly going off and starting fights and yelling.  He would be outside yelling the f-word and various other profanities .. he didn't care that my kids could hear....  none of them cared that they make our life hell because my kids couldn't go out on the porch or go outside because who knew what a fight would start ...  I mean he was so irate most the time he'd be slamming the door, cussing up a storm, slamming things, breaking things...... it was like the Crazy Neighbor we had when we first moved here all over again.  Then he would scream their personal business outside.   For example, his wife *Mary* had a girlfriend named *Gail* and they moved into the apartment together at first.  *Mary* and *Gail* had a relationship *wink*wink* ...... and there would be yelling and screaming about *Gail* buying *Mary* battery operated toys *wink*wink* and how *Mary* was having dirty showers with an ex boyfriend ..... See ... *Ed* didn't move in until a little after the ladies did.  Apparently *Mary* and *Ed* patched things up a little but *Mary* and *Ed* had their relationship and *Mary* and *Gail* had their relationship and we caught *Ed* and *Gail* having relationships on the stairs!  So apparently ....  it was a not so happy tri-fold.   So *Ed* would often be on his phone yelling at the courts or the cops or whomever about some charges against him .....  and how they weren't allowing him his civil rights and he was going to call the FBI and the CIA and the President himself to fix it.  Yeah...... it was that kind of crazy.   And then they would sit there and spread their crap all over the outside lawn to the point where if Dennis did have an appointment and need to get down the stairs or down the sidewalk - he couldn't or they'd have to move stuff or if they didn't, he'd have to go in the grass.  It was stupid.  But yet they'd bitch - mostly *Gail* - if the kids tv was too loud.  Why should she have to sit out in her patio garden and listen to kids shows.  It should be peaceful.  If the kids played on the patio - stuff would fall through the cracks of the patio .... and they'd bitch about that.  And we all know - if my "Elephants" were running around ...... *Ed* would take a stool and bang on the ceiling leaving holes --- true story.    And when we did what we needed to move down here .... the manager of our place, we said how we were really glad they were gone and she said "He got kicked out of my office once.  I told them he was never allowed back up here cuz of the way he talked to me and yelled at me, cursed at me, and called me names.......but no one ever complained about them when they were here ....  but now, everyone is saying how glad they are that they are gone."   Well yeah, we were all scared of them.

They had some bad energy around them.  Baaaaaaaaad.

We're all glad they are gone.

And I'm glad that the move is done - but ....... OMG - unpacking is the devil.

Anyone want to come unpack for me?

Actually - I could get help - but I literally have to go through everything.  Things are going to Goodwill!  I already condensed the kids toys down to ONE toybox (they had 3) ........

So I'm up to my eyeballs with boxes ....... and tomorrow, we have company coming from Wisconsin. One of my best friends (one of the five ladies I consider my sisters) ...  and my niece Ivy.

Ivy and Noah have been betrothed since Ivy's birth!  She's a year younger than Noah and taller....  and they were each other's first kiss.  Course, apparently their older brothers who have been friends since they were 3 - peer pressured them into it.......... but that's beside the point! ....

We are extremely excited for our company - not so excited about the moving mess that still exists .

Home Sweet Home....

YAY for not having to stay at my Mom's anymore.  (Love being around my Mom, but my Step-Dad was getting a little crabby about everything, can't blame him.  He really wants his house back.... )

YAY for not being in the same house and freaking insane man!!!  Let me tell ya ....  he made moving out of there next to impossible AND we didn't get all our stuff, so some stuff, we had to and have to replace ....   He sat in the middle of the stairs and refused to move ... the cops had to be called for the tenth time... they put him in his place, and made moving for everyone (I wasn't there) .. miserable.  My Mom's friends that were helping had to leave because he was swearing so much and their kids were helping too.  Nice right?

YAY ..... we moved into an apartment on the 1st.  It feels AMAZING to be on our own again after 4 months of drama...

So ...  we tried to help the kids out, got the video game systems that their mom got them, and he called the cops on us - even though I had proof of request from the mom saying she wanted us to get it - he called the cops, said Dennis "stole" it...  and had to take it back, which he did.  When doing so, infront of the cops, he told them that we could have as much time as we needed to move out on Saturday.  Then called Dennis to be the second person for his uhaul ... which he did, stating he knew him - etc ...  and THEN he proceeded to call Dennis later and tell him "you only have from 9 to 10 on Saturday to move cuz that's the only time I'll be there"

WTF!?!?!!?!

We only have an hour to move three beds, and a couch, several dressers, a couple desks, an entertainment center... clothes, toys, shelves, etc and so on .... yeah... that isn't going to work.

So Saturday morning, the plan was to call the cops if he didn't let us get all our stuff.  Well, they went and picked up the uhaul at 8 ...  got to the house... and then 9 rolls around, he's not there.  Dennis calls.  No answer.  He calls several times, no answer........ SERIOUSLY???   9:35 rolls around and he says, screw it... he has a key, we paid rent... we're getting our stuff.

So, he goes in and he calls him finally.  Says "I was sleeping" and "I'm not coming until noon" and when Dennis told him that he was going in and getting our stuff....  he hung up on him.  When he got there around 11:30 I got a text from my cousin saying "he's sitting on the steps and he's not letting us move ANYTHING ... he won't even let me past him to go outside."

Cops were called, and the Cops put him in his place.  They got everything they could that would fit in the truck, and left.

Where was I?  In the emergency room with Noah.   He was really really sick.  I was in the ER with Noah on Friday (the 25th) ... for 5 hours because he was running a 103-104 temp.. he was complaining his belly hurt, and as soon as he peed for a urine sample, I knew there were HUGE issues because his pee was the color of dark tea.  I knew then he had a lot of blood in his urine.  He had just been on antibiotics so I automatically freak thinking maybe he has C-diff again.  Well, after 5 hours Friday, we find out that his white blood cell count was up, there is a large amount of blood in his urine and some protein in his urine, and his BP was a little high.... the ER doctor sent us home, said he' would be at the other hospital in the other ER the following morning .... his shift started at 11 and he wanted him there right at the start of his shift .... and to go there, and tell the registration ladies that he wanted him back and blah blah blah.   He also wanted Noah to be on a liquid diet.  He was worried about appendicitis so he wanted him to come in hungry...

So we got to the ER about 10:50 ...  checked in...  and after sitting for a little bit got taken back ... we get there, his BP is high still, his pulse rate/heart rate is high now... but after him complaining that he's hungry ... they order him up a lunch tray.... and it comes up with a big ol' cookie on it... so he starts eating that, and not even half way through the big ol' cookie, he says "Mom....I think I'm gonna throw up" and after frantically searching the room for something for him to throw up in, I found something just in time.... but anyway the level of blood in his urine was still large, it had gone down slightly, the protein had gone down a little, and his white blood cell count was on the way down too...  still, they wanted to know why.... so after 9 hours of not being able to bring down his BP and pulse, and whenever they take his temp, it's normal ... (orally or under the arm) ..... I suggested that they do it rectal because he felt like he was burning up to me.  So they do ... and what is his temp?  104.8!!!  Yeah, FREAKING OUT HERE....
Noah in the ambulance

So it was determined that they wanted him in the hospital over night to keep an eye on him, and we were taken by ambulance after 9+ hours in the ER (Saturday .. the day they were dealing with Mr. Insane moving stuff out) ....  I was told he definitely had a UTI, and then just before we left for the hospital, they did a bunch of tests, including influenza testing... and on the way there, got news that he tested positive for influenza A. We got to Seattle Children's around 11 ... didn't get his room until 2am....... I didn't get to sleep until after close to 5am ... and I was up at 8:30 or so....  by then the blood in his urine had cleared up for the most part, his other tests were looking better ....  so it was just a matter of getting him to hold anything down...  which he did - YAY - so we went home on Sunday.

Then the Tuesday, the 1st rolled around a few days later.... and it is move in day!!  Nothing like moving twice in a week ....

But we are in our new home....  and happy :)   And now......... my life looks like this ...
Unpacking fun has begun and continues!!  So I hope that I'm up into the swing of things soon, and posting again everyday .... with no sick kids!!  Everyone has had their turn being sick in the last couple weeks.  Nathan had pink eye, Noah with his high high temp, etc....  Cal was running a fever, and Kaedyn spent the last 24 hours throwing up ....... yep, it's been a good germy week!

Sweet Crap In A Basket .........

Nice title huh?  Ya know you like it.........

But that's beside the point.  Why?  Well ... that's really a long story that I've been avoiding.  And BECAUSE of that...... half my resolutions have gone out the window.... like, blogging everyday ... and ... taking pictures everyday ....... yeah.  Sometimes life grabs a hold and throws you a nice softball in your gut.

Which brings us to SWEET CRAP IN A BASKET!!

Yep, I think it's just going to be my new catch phrase.

So, we moved from Wisconsin, where we were struggling, to Washington ... with hopes, that a great job would be right around the corner and struggling would be a thing of the past.

Yeah, not so much.  We stayed with my Mom & Step-Dad when we moved here, for about a month ... got a beautiful place with crappy management for $1300 ...... we left at the end of our lease because we just couldn't afford it.   We had met some people and thought we were ready-made-friends.

She said something to me that should have sent up red flags, but it didn't, at the time.  Now, anyone who says to me "I just don't get along with females" or "I don't have many female friends" I'm just gonna turn around and walk the other way.  I've heard that twice in my life, the first person was my ex-best friend who helped break up my marriage (to my first husband) .. and even though I am thankful that I moved on from that relationship, she betrayed me in a lot of ways.  I am sure I wasn't completely innocent in the relationship with her, but I was at least honest and loyal to her ... she wasn't with me.  The worst thing about it, I do find myself missing the friendship we had ..... I miss her, I miss her kids...  I miss the bond we had and the friendship that I thought existed.  Now this time...  yeah.  I think I will miss the friendship I had with the new one, but I just can't go down that road again.  Maybe - it all depends.  I know that she was in a crappy situation and - I donno.  And I'm not going to get into the story in my blog, because ........ it doesn't seem fair on either sides.  They have their side, we have ours.

Regardless, things didn't work out and I still love her, and I wish her the best, but ... I think things are to damaged at this point to repair anything.  Not that she wants to.  But... basically, two weeks ago, just after I gave her almost $800 for rent and bills for the month, we were "kicked out" and then it was taken back because he found out that since we paid rent, we were legally allowed to stay there until the end of the month.

So with that said, we've been staying at my Mom's to save on stress and feeling terrorized ...  We've been looking for places and looking and looking ... and ... Dennis has been looking for a job... and looking and looking........ and it just feels .........

So ....  we wanted out of there anyway - maybe it's a blessing in disguise .... and after some of the things I found out recently ...... I'm not sure I would want to be friends with them anyway.   So I'm just going .... totally ....... with this philosophy ...
So let's hope....  things fall into place.  We're praying we get this place, it's small - but we can make it work.  I am just so emotionally and mental spent, I have enough to hold together right now, to take care of the kids, DRs appointments.... and that's pretty much it.

A lot of people told us, including ourselves....... it was going to be a mistake to move in there.  We were hoping that it would be what we set it up to be...... a way to catch up on some bills, a way to get things done and then be able to set ourselves up to be successful ....

Let's just hope we can pick up the pieces and glue what we can back together.

It is nice to be blogging again.  Even though I messed up on not following through with my resolutions, I hope to continue what I set out to do from here on out.

Oh Christmas Tree!

So ......... we moved out of our FABULOUS place ... we're very sad about it.  The whole craptasticness that circled around it all, was just .... well...  CRAPTASTIC ....... It involved a run to the ER because Dennis was so sick he passed out.... and various other stuff.  Needless to say, we're all over it, and one of these days, I might just vent about it, but I don't have time to at the moment.

Right now .......... I want to share our tree.  Well... it's my Mom's tree.  We don't have a tree here... I'm kinda sad about not having a tree up ourselves this year, but what can we do.  Next year will be a lot different. (Crossing Fingers) ...

I was sick on Thanksgiving (heck I'm still sick) ...  we have this long lasting forever long cold that has settled into both Dennis and I and takes us up and down and down and gives us a small release and then... let's throw them back into bed - type thing.   It's horrible.  Regardless, went over on the 27th of November and helped my mom put up her tree.

Mom and I got the tree up (see that lady behind the tree, that's my mom!!) LOL... she HATES her picture taken so I only get away with it once in awhile!
Kaedyn helped put on ornaments... his favorite were Nana's handmade bells....
 Nathan helped too ....
 My babies
 Artsy photos
a couple weeks later after some Christmas Shopping.  My mom was so nice ... she took Noah and Cal out Christmas shopping for their brothers and us, Ash & her and Papa... and so there are lots of gifts for everyone, but especially the kids this year.  It's wonderful!!

My Step-Dad looks like Santa (teehee) ... and My Mommy is OBVIOUSLY Mrs. Claus!

Things are back to normal....er... sorta .... *NoBloPoMo 28*

So ..... yesterday morning, two teenagers in this house butted heads.  There was a pretty serious accusation made.  But we don't know who's telling the truth.   So because of all this, Calahan left the house for the night, and we were all crying and trying to figure stuff out because we all love both these kids and all four of us (both sets of parents) felt stuck in the middle between both of them.  I love Kenzie to death, and I love Calahan to death.  I saw both of them telling their truth and neither story remotely matched.  I felt both of their pains, from not being absolutely believed.  Ya know, as a parent, how you can tell your kids are telling the truth.  Usualaly when they lie they have one way of acting, and when they are being truthful, the have a way of acting.  Well, Calahan will get angry if he's done something wrong and is caught, he will get pissed if you accuse him of something that he did, or he'll smile because he knows he's been caught red handed.  Not last night, he was calm, flat faced and didn't get pissed.  Kenzie apparently (according to her parents) cries when she's telling the truth.  Well, basically ....... Kenzie and Calahan are suppose to pretend the other doesn't exist.  They aren't to look at each other, or talk to each other. They suppose to stay out of each others spaces...Kenzie's brother said to me tonight.... "Kenzie lies about stuff like this all the time, I don't think he did it" ... but at this point, who know.  Seriously - no one was there but him and Kenzie.

Yeah, the situation isn't fun for anyone.  But at least we have a resolve .....  for now.  Obviously, the truth is somewhere in the middle.  And Cal is going to be going back into therapy.  I'm tired of dealing with his anger issues.  They got better, then worse, then better, then worse... and have continued to stay this way since we were moved to WA prettys much.  I honestly wonder if maybe a military school would be good for him.  He is a good kid, don't get me wrong.  But when he's not in a situation he wants to be in, then he's quick to jump on the angry carpet ride.  IE: If he doesn't have his own room, if it's not just our family - if there are any outsiders in the same house.... he's just not accepting.  His anger is quick to flare and when he's not on his meds, (in the early morning or late at night).

All I can say, is ... they are both a couple of dumb teenagers right now.

Tomorrow, we're going to carry on with "HAPPINESS" cuz I can't take this crap anymore.  We're going to finish moving out of the uber house with the spectacular view and put a ton of stuff into storage, again.  And we're going to carry on with our getting stuff paid off, building up our credit and living in the dungeon .... until we can save up to move again.  Hopefully, by then, Dennis will be in the shipyard.  Sadly, I think this is going to have to be sooner then later too.

Maybe we should just move to Forks, and go knock on the Cullen's door.  Ask them to take care of him.... hell, ask if we can all move in.  Or better yet, go live with Jacob.  At least he'll keep us warm when it's cold outside :D

Moving Drama.... *NoBloPoMo 15*

First off......... Friday when we got here, we had to move some paint cans........ and well....... this happened!
Mr. Kaedyn was messing around ... stacking ... paint cans and he dropped one, the top popped off and..... splashed him......
It just happened to be PINK!!  He had it in his hair and everything!!

Then, Jeff and Ami had invited a friend over to spend the weekend, that way if we needed more help, we'd have it.  Well, it's a good thing.... I sprained my ankle Saturday morning and Jeff got beat up by my bookshelf...so it was nice that Dennis had the extra guy.  Well, needless to say ...  *J-guy* and *B-girl* came over and everything was fine.  I liked both of them well enough.  *B-girl* is very chatty and I like chatty, so we talked about various things.  She helped me out with the kids... thanks to my sprained ankle.

Wait... before I get into the drama, maybe I should get into that.  So what happened was... Friday we got some main stuff moved over, beds, some furniture... we spent most of the day dealing with the cable guy.  He was literally here from 10 am to about 8 pm!!  Well, it was fun.  So Saturday morning when the babies got up, and EVERYONE else was sleeping, I decided to take the babies down to the other house to eat - we hadn't brought up any of our food or many dishes... so ... I picked them both up (cuz they were in their PJ's... we didn't get clothes moved over either)...  any way - I picked them both up and was carrying them both down the steps to the front porch to the car, and when I got on the sidewalk I noticed one of the babies board books in the leaves, so I said something to them, and I was going to have Nathan grab it (bend over so he could reach it) when I stepped on the edge of the sidewalk and my ankle went sideways (cuz the sidewalk and ground are uneven) ...  so I ended up falling, while holding BOTH babies... and twisted my ankle on the way down.  Kaedyn landed, also, with one of his legs bent...but he was okay, I on the other hand, was not.  Needless to say, we all started crying.... and I was sitting in WET LEAVES..... but *B-girl* and Jeff came rushing out of the house, and I called Dennis and he rushed upstairs and outside, a few minutes later *J-guy* did too.... yeah, it was a great day.

So, then I guess Saturday night (I don't wasn't privy to it cuz I went to bed) ... Ami, Jeff, *J-guy* and *B-girl* were all up and *B-girl* started a fight with *J-guy*....  this is what I was told.  So, *B-girl* starts to throw out things like "We are through" and "I'm going to break up with you if you don't...." fill in the blank with several things.  Calling him a *P*O*S* for not having a job (which from what I hear, she got him fired from due to calling up his boss telling him he's high and what not while going to work) ... and basically belittling him and calling him names.  Well this lasted from when we went to bed, to 7am Sunday morning.  Anyway - *B-girl* came down after she woke up and was telling me that Ami had said something to *J-guy* that he took the wrong way, that he got mad and left, and Jeff got mad (at Ami) and left too... and they didn't come back until 3am.  Later I heard from Ami that it was partially true.  She did tell him to "get out" at one point, joking, and he took her seriously, and thought she meant leave the house..  regardless...  she had said that because, I guess, she had been sitting in her room with *B-girl* and trying to talk to her, to calm her down but it wasn't working.  Regardless, the guys were gone until 3am ...and at some point Jeff had called Ami and told her where they were at, she went down there....  and then the drama got brought back here.  We, didn't hear a WORD of it.  At least, I didn't.  But Nate woke up a couple of times, and that could be why.  Anyway - the following morning, Ami had come down after she got up and asked me my opinion on the situation.  They wanted *J-guy* to stay a few more days, but not *B-girl* because she was disrespecting the house, and causing drama and such.  I told them it was up to them.  I didn't appreciate them fighting all night, not that it effected us much, but .... just the fact that the kids could be witness to it.  Well, I told her I was staying downstairs until all the low down went down .... and I kept the kids occupied.  I forgot Noah was upstairs, and the poor kid witnessed a lot of what was about to go down.

I guess, Ami and Jeff took *J-guy* and *B-girl* out on the front porch.  They were talking to them, and one of them would come down and update me.  At some point, Ami came down and said that *B-girl* was being sooooooooo disruptive that she was thinking about calling the cops, and then awhile later, after I heard a cop show up - through our basement window - Jeff had come down and said that *B-girl* was getting arrested.  I said (shocked) "Why?!?!" and he tells me that she cracked *J-guy* across the face.  It wasn't just a slap, it was a open handed ... arm way behind her to get up as much strength and speed as she could, crack, across his head.  So Ami called the cops and reported it, said with all the kids, if she hadn't - she would have felt as if she didn't do the right thing.  So she called....  and when I came upstairs, this is what I saw...
Yep!! ..... so then the rest of the day was spent consoling *J-guy* because he was getting a restraining order on her and blah blah - relationship is over and he was hurting....... yet turned around right away and was talking about getting back together with his first love *N* who just came back into his life not long ago.  Yeah.... quick rebounding going on....... he even stopped over there (at *N's*) when Jeff took him home to get some stuff.  Yep.......

*UPDATE* ..... *B-girl* had court Monday morning, her $5,000 bail was up'd to $10,000 ... and she was left in jail.  By Wednesday, she had been released and it's suspected that *J-guy* and *B-girl* are back together.

Oh yeah...... and on an ending note of Moving Drama......... I'd just like to mention MY CAMERA BROKE!!!  So most of the pictures are courtesy of my cell phone!!

Vent vent ....... VENT!

I need to vent.......... this is a vent post.  I'm not going to put this in my happy little NoBloPoMo posts...  no...  can't taint that........

So I talked about our moving, but I haven't really gotten into a lot of it.  Our lease is up at the end of this month.  We can't afford the rent... and to pay all our bills, at least, not until Dennis gets into the shipyard, which he will... but it'll take time.  We've managed to float through our lease, but...... we just can't do it anymore.  Every cent is going to rent, bills, and gas... and necessities... which is fine, it's life.  Not complaining.  But when you are faced with not having anything to spare to get your kids Christmas gifts... it kinda sucks.  When you are in a new place and you can't even go out exploring, checking out what the area has to offer cuz you don't have the gas to spare, it blows........  Plus, as much as we love this place, things are not ideal.  We can't even go out in our own yard to play, NOT because we're on the water, but because the deck is rotting and every time (it seems) that you go outside to play, someone falls through the deck...  ya just can't trust it.  Dennis has fallen threw several times, and Kaedyn has too!  When your kid is falling threw the deck, and the management AND landlords know, there is a problem.  The wood has been out there now, for several weeks and not one thing has been done about the deck.

These all Dennis fell through....
This was their "fix it" ... throw plywood over it..... yep cuz that makes it a lot safer...
Nathan fell through this one ... or was it Kaedyn?
 Dennis fell through these
This is our bottom step... yep... really safe...
These two are by our patio door, both of them Kaedyn broke and fell through by his 30lb weight...

Our oven stopped working.  So while 2 out of the 3 managers were in the garage, I went out there was looking for something and talked to them.  Told them, the oven isn't working right, it takes hours to get to temp and it's been getting worse fast.  Then it stopped working completely ... but we were waiting to hear about what was going to be done about it.  So ... Dennis called about a week after I had talked to them, talked to the 1 out of 3 managers that wasn't in the garage that day.  She played dumb... "oh I had no idea, neither of them told me" .... well regardless of if they did or not, apparently no one cared.  Then we got a call back, they were going to come pick up the stove on Sunday and take it to the place they got it ...  WHY COULDN'T THEY CALL A REPAIR MAN so we could at LEAST have use of our stove!?!?!?   Regardless, we went with it.  Mainly because I wasn't going to get on the phone and let my opinion and dislike of the situation be known.  I hate fighting, I don't like confrontations... but... I was pissed.  I have 4 kids to feed... how is not having at least a stove acceptable in any way!!?!?   So they tell us, "we're going to pick up the stove on Sunday" and then don't show up until Tuesday at 9am!  WTH!?!?!?!?   Seriously, WTH!?  And then we don't get it back until Saturday because "they had to order a part" but we're not even told that until Thursday night.  When she called me up saying the stove was fixed and they'd be bringing it by that afternoon ... she apologized and all I said was "okay" ... I wasn't going to accept it.  At that point, I was already done with the BS.........oh yeah, and now.... our oven works GREAT ... and our stove isn't working right!  Yep... go figure!!  Course, it didn't help that we didn't get back all the pieces to it!  So now one of the gas burners can't be used, and the other ones won't light right away ... or at all ...  just pisses me off...

BTW - she said that she was taking the owners back to the airport when she called.  Just a few days later, guess who was outside our place!?!?!  Right, the owners.  The landlords.  They live in CA.  So, why would they make a trip, go home, and then come right back?  Seems a little odd to me.   Who knows, but I'm just saying.  While talking to them, telling them how much we loved the place, how the baby has fallen through several times, how Dennis has.... they just kept saying "we had no idea it was this bad" ...... seriously!?!?!?   They also said "We'll get our son-in-law over here and then you'll see how fast things get done" ... yeah, well, nothing has been done.  Not a damn thing.  We told them about the squirrels in the roof, the screen that never got brought back that the psycho squirrel ate through to get into our place ...  and nothing....  not a thing.  Oh wait, they put a grate over the hole where the squirrels ... without making sure the squirrels were out first.

So ...  we're thinking, our lease is up at the end of this month.  And Ami and Jeff invited us to move in there.  They need help right now, with the baby coming ...  we'd split bills down the middle.  Now, doing that, we'd STILL be paying less for rent and all the bills then we'd be paying for just rent here, PLUS our storage unit.  All less then what we are paying now for just rent.  Go figure huh?

It'll give us a chance to be able to buy things when we need them, to get the kids Christmas gifts... to be able to do things and maybe go out on dates!!  We haven't been out on a date for 2 years!  Etc and so on....

Plus we love Ami and Jeff, we get along great, and they are family to us now.

So.... when Dennis called the management (her) to tell her we have rent, and to ask about how we go about moving out at the end of the month, if they need a written notice or what... he got blowed up on.  "You have a 6 month lease, it was up at the end of last month cuz you moved in IN May" ... no we didn't .. we moved in June.... she argued with him about that.  "I told you that until you pay the pet deposit you have to hide that cat and you didn't, and you haven't paid the pet deposit" ... seriously - YES WE HAVE!!!
What does that say!?!?!?  Oh yeah ... PET DEPOSIT!!!  She sat there and gave us verbal agreements on letting us pay off the security deposit and pet deposit over a couple months, to make it easier on us... and then turned around and threatened us, if it wasn't paid by July 3rd, we were going to get evicted...  So ... we got it paid off.  Had to barrow money to do it, but we paid it.  Then a check bounced (because we forgot about a payment) ... and then we decided since we already messed that up, we'd pay bills so nothing would be disconnected.  We waited on Dennis school check that was suppose to be here by the end of the month.  So there was a mix up on that..... and we still owe them $500...  from that.  So she's going on and on about how we still owe $500 ... ($350 for rent, $50 for a late fee, $50 for a bounced check fee, and $50 for us being late on Septembers rent) .... and we are fine with paying that, but again, we have zero extra money right now.  She is telling us that they are going to keep our ENTIRE $1000 security deposit... because of it.   Yep, keeping $500 because we owe it, and another $500 just cuz!  Yeah, I don't think so.  So after a lot of discussion between Dennis and I, we decided the safest thing for us would be to NOT pay the rent this month.  $1000 + the $300 we paid = $1300 .. our rent!   So we will still owe them the $500 and whatever we owe in damages that we did, or that I can't prove we didn't do when we moved in (I took pictures of everything) ...    On top of that ... she's telling us that we're breaking our lease, which we aren't and blah blah blah.  Apparently, they are planning on keeping our deposit regardless, and who knows.

But then, today ...  we're outside heading off to my Mom & Step-Dad's for dinner and the neighbor is outside.  I said "they are going to have fun finding tenets for both places" and she says "oh really?"  ... we discuss for a few that we are moving out bv the end of the month, that we're getting the truck on Friday to get the big stuff out, etc.... and she says "oh did they waive the rent?" ... ummm... no.....   "Oh they did for us, until January .. well, the end of December" ....  so they don't have to pay rent again until Jan. 1 ... why?  because of the deck!!  Because she fell through one night and hurt her back and went to the ER.  My kids are falling through the deck.... we're not getting anything waived!!

So yeah, I'm a little pissed.   However, one of the managers stopped by for rent and Dennis explained to him why we weren't paying...... and that we'd be out by the end of the month.

We're just done...... thought this place was soooooo awesome.  Thought they'd keep their word and have the deck done ....  here we are... going on 6 months of living here and promises about the deck, and look...
There is the lumber... just.... sitting there....

There is more, but ....... I'm just to tired to deal with it.   Now I have to pack up this place.....
