Did you know that today is International Woman's Day? No? Why not!? Don't you support the feminist movement? (snickers) ....
About International Women's Day (8 March)
International Women's Day (March 8) is a global day celebrating the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women. The day also marks a call to action for accelerating gender parity.
International Women's Day (IWD) has been observed since in the early 1900's - a time of great expansion and turbulence in the industrialized world that saw booming population growth and the rise of radical ideologies. International Women's Day is a collective day of global celebration and a call for gender parity. No one government, NGO, charity, corporation, academic institution, women's network or media hub is solely responsible for International Women's Day. Many organizations declare an annual IWD theme that supports their specific agenda or cause, and some of these are adopted more widely with relevance than others.
"The story of women's struggle for equality belongs to no single feminist nor to any one organization but to the collective efforts of all who care about human rights," says world-renowned feminist, journalist and social and political activist Gloria Steinem. Thus International Women's Day is all about unity, celebration, reflection, advocacy and action - whatever that looks like globally at a local level. But one thing is for sure, International Women's Day has been occurring for well over a century - and continue's to grow from strength to strength.
Just in case you were wondering......
I just wanted to post that picture of Deadpool!
I have had a rough day. Very very rough. Fever, stuffed up sinuses/ears ... SEVERE headache (migraine) ... etc and so on. Basically I have the flu. Influenza A has been making a comeback it seems. I have seen several of my friends fall with the plague the last week..
I'm so thankful that Kaedyn is over it ... but now it's just my turn.... I guess....
So Nathan had a really rough morning. He was crying like he used to cry when his anxiety was picking up too much with the thought of going to school and before he was to the point where he was making himself throw up - because he was being forced to go into the main stream classroom when he shouldn't have been (I was being told he was spending all but two hours or so in the inclusion (special needs) room and then in regular classroom for a couple of subjects. The teacher he had then, he didn't like - he has light up shoes, he stops them when he needs some sensory input and she would tell him to stop doing that - so he would cry. He would say she was mean. When we brought this up to his inclusion room teacher (who is supposed to have his back) she blew it off. So this is why we pulled him out to homeschool him. That's what happened before. Lately he's been showing this same anxiety about going to school again but we haven't really questioned him on it much. Fast forward, today he was carrying on to the point where she was almost to that making himself vomit point. So we managed to get him out the door to the bus and off to school. I guess shortly after getting to school he wanted to talk to the nurse because we tell him he has to at least TRY to go to school. So the nurse ended up calling DB and ended up telling him that with some talking, Nathan is having anxiety about his day at school and that's why he's having stomach aches (this doesn't explain the other stuff going on with his stomach, like his waking up after starting his feed when he's sleeping and throwing up with his feed. That's a separate issue.) So because I caught Kaedyn's plague - DB took the reigns on this and he called Nate's pediatrician and got him in right away today to talk about maybe putting him on some anxiety meds.... so Nate's coming home with Daddy now. He's getting put on a small dose of anxiety meds to see if it helps.

Daddy sent me these pictures while he was out with Nathan...
Nathan being vain in the mirror ....
So I spent a lot of my day sleeping and watching Little Women Atlanta (didn't realize it started again.) I like the new girls. Regardless... just been trying to keep the fever at bay and resting. The sooner this is over - the better.
We were supposed to go to Tacoma today to go to see Nathan & Noah's Endocrinology doc but that had to get rescheduled (thanks flu!) ....
Marshmellow's personality has changes since he got the big ol' snip. He's more playful and seems a lot calmer ...
Alyvia has literally been stuck up my butt today - probably because of my being sick and her wanting to be comforting.
Best part of today - other than waking up to meet another day and being able to hug and snuggle my family, and laugh ..... the best part of today was getting my new shipment of FANDOM stickers...
So here is the run down...... DB ordered a couple - I added the two Hunter ones for him, all World of Warcraft related....
Cal found out and asked for these ....
The rest though, are ALL MINE. So this is the group of general "Fangirl" ones and "Book" ones... miscellaneous stuff ...
A couple Game of Thrones ones.... (I am a Stark girl through and through, I love my IMP, but I love Khaleesi) ... Hodor has my heart forever - I still yell "TOO SOON" whenever DB makes a "Hold the door!" joke. And he calls me his Moon just like Drogo does Khaleesi...

So watching TV tonight....
So as I'm writing my blog (after watching the season premiere of Survivor) I am watching Catfish and I have to say ...... I love Max & Nev.
Today they start off the episode throwing production under the bus with the make-shift table in their room... that is set up on some "Janky Boxes" .. no really, one of them is named "Janky Box" ...
"Up top it's all glossy and nice, but underneath it's just a couple of janky boxes" ....
This just made me laugh so much. It actually says "Janky Box" ....
So I watched Little Women Atlanta today (almost caught up, I didn't realize it had started up again.) ... DB and I checked out this new show called "The Pop Game" or something like that... it's interesting... watched the season premiere of Survivor... Catfish... watched the movie John Wick ... and started the new season of Criminal Minds: Beyond Borders.
I do hope to sleep at some point tonight.
(PS: I went to get the Red Bubble website and ended up putting more stickers in my cart! it's an ADDICTION!)
