Sewing Elephants ....

Today - Elly has been alive for 24 days!  Doesn't seem like that long.  Almost 4 weeks, inching in on a WHOLE MONTH OLD!!!

All the animals love her.  Mellow was a bit protective today.  Kinsleigh is kinda afraid of her.  LOL

So I'm making this home-made mobile for above Elly's crib.  So I've been working on that as I can.

In the middle of me working on it, DB rushed into the room and said "Gimme the house phone" ... so I did.  He goes "I gotta call 9-1-1, Aaron fell!"   Aaron is our neighbor.  He has a lot of medical stuff going on.  He can barely walk on his own - he needs a walker.  He has a medal plate in his head, towards the front, and brain damage.  The story is he was in a really bad car accident.  The kids all love him to pieces.  He has crazy inappropriate stories, he swears a lot, but he's a good time.  We all love him and look out for him.  DB had to break into Aaron's room yesterday morning (while I was at the boys appointments) because he fell out of bed and couldn't get up, and the door was locked.  So he broke in through his bedroom window and got him off the floor.

Today - the story was - Aaron opened up his apartment door and looked to see if UPS left him a package, they didn't.  So he turned around in the doorway to go back inside, and instead, with his back in the doorway - facing into the apartment - he lost his balance and fell backwards.  He was half in and half out of the doorway, and he - literally - cracked his head.  His head was in a pool of blood, I have pictures, but not going to share.  Kaedyn was on the sidelines, extremely concerned about him.  His caretaker had run out real quick for meds, and came back after the ambulance arrived.

DB ended up taking his caretaker down to the hospital (literally a few minutes away - just down the street, one turn, and down that street) ... and he couldn't remember how to get there, so DB took him down there...

Elly is starting to get some bad baby acne....

More on the elephants for the mobile ....

So I'm making a homemade mobile for above Elly's crib. A bunch of homemade, hand sewn elephants .... my elephants are ... cute, but ... totally - ya know - horrible. At least you can tell they are elephants. But I'm telling you that - the FIRST person who says "oh that looks so cute and homemade" .... I'm gonna take it as an insult. So what if it's true. It's like saying "Bless her heart..." in the south, what they mean is what a stupid bitch. And what you are saying by telling me it looks homemade is - that should be burned. Burned with a thousand spiders. See. Insult.

I'm looking at the ibuprofen and realized .... there was something wrong. It is neither meltaway OR chewable..... I looked at Dennis and I yelled "YOU HAD ONE JOB" ... and he looks at me all scared I'm turning into my angry white woman self. "What?" he goes. "Ibuprofen that Noah can take" cuz he can't swallow pills. He says "It says grape!" (rolls eyes) ... "I thought if it says grape, it was chewable" .... I look at him, "If I can't break it with my fingers and have to use the pill cutter, it's not chewable. You had one job." He looks sad and says .... "No I had three, I didn't get the ibuprofen right, I made dinner and burned it, and I was supposed to watch the dogs and the Jax thought the potatoes for balls I failed today, but that's okay - tomorrow is another day, and I'll fail then too....."

And yes, I'm aware that under the 24 in the tiny print it says chewable.... but I had DB believing that it didn't ..... and that was the most fun!

DR Appointments & Elly-belly

Nathan & Noah had doctors appointments today.  Both of them had to see the neurologist.  Noah got put on a new med today to help with his constant leg pain.....
Nathan melted down soooooooooo bad today.   He knows that when he sees Endocrine he usually ended up having blood work done...  so when we went over on that side of the floor - he immediately started to flip out and cry and carry on....  he wanted NOTHING to do with it.

Noah did okay - but then again - it wasn't an appointment for him....

Noah was around 90lbs and Nathan was 40 lbs ...

Update on the Boys Appointments today: Neuro: Noah was put on new meds to help with his pain, especially his pain in his legs. Nathan's meds for his migraines have been bumped up from 5 ml to 7 ml. Otherwise things were good. No other big changes there. Endo: Nathan's appt went well, he was still only 40 lbs. Nutrition came in... funniest line ... "So you sound like you are at the point where you feel like you've tried everything and this is what's working." Nods. Because of the recent weird blood sugar readings, they did a blood sugar on him - which was 86 - and they did a fast A1C on him and that was 4.5. They are doing a bunch of blood tests on him for different diabetes markers. And checking his thyroid while they are at it. He did grow in length but not really in weight. While I had Noah with, I asked her about his Acanthosis Nigricans (dirty neck rash that CAN BE but not necessarily a sign of diabetes) ... and she told me to talk to his Ped about it first and have him some run some tests. It might just be a dermatology issue. Nathan melted down BAD today ... his anxiety & autism ruled him today. But he TRIED really hard to get a hold of it. Nana treated him to Burger King on the way home ..... he liked that, a lot.

Burger King!!!

Num!!

So this... down there....  YES!!!!

And this.......... RAIN......... HELL YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Baby is 23 days old today ....

It's SISSY Day!! *Pic Heavy*

Today we got Clairah!  I'm always snapping a million pictures on Clairah day ...

Not a lot going on today other than Clairah being here and playing with the babies!   Mommy had me watch Elly for a couple hours this afternoon so she could spend some quality time with Clairah.  Other wise Clairah was all over Elly.  She wanted to help do EVERYTHING....

And when Elly would cry, Clairah would be like "shhhhhh Elly, it okay" and look up "Momma she cry'in!"

Thor - in his typical place.....

Clairah having a snack.  LOL

Daddy and Elly

This is when I had Elly for a bit ...   soooooooooo alert!

Using her elephant paci!

Clairah liked it too! LOL

Mommy took Clairah out to play with the chalk ....

I took Clairah out to take pictures ....

Mommy got out Clairah's lollipop from her "Big Sister" gift ....  told her she could have it if Mommy could play with her hair.  We're trying to get her used to having bows and stuff in her hair.

Mommy wanted to get some pictures with the girls in their outfits that were alike.  Elly's Minnie Mouse one and Clairah's Doc McStuffins one....

See the barrette?? And the reaction? LOL

She liked the headband better ....

So she got her lollipop ....

Clairah got to feed Elly ....  there were a couple of adults by her, watching ....

Clairah got a nap

We took the boys to a back to school event...

They got some back to school supplies, they entered some contents ...  they had fun :)

After Clairah's nap, Mommy tried the whole hair thing again - went over like a lead balloons....

So she had a bath and got changed into some Mickey Mouse PJ's ...

Nonna got some Elly time :)

Time to take Clairah home.....

Clairah held Elly's hand the whole time....
