Today was a day, there may have been a day where I would have said positive and/or negative and stated my opinion, but honestly - things I have seen today on my newsfeed have literally made me sick, so I stopped looking. NOTHING is going to come from acting like jackasses and causing damage and/or harm to people and/or their businesses that had nothing to do with anything that these people are "protesting" ... all i can do is shake my head. The fact is, he is our President - even if he isn't "your" President, he is. There are things I do not agree with, but all we can do is sit back and wait for him to either prove himself or prove he needs to not be in office. I just don't see what all this negativeness is going to solve. I didn't watch. I had no interest in watching, but not because of who it is, because I am not a huge politic person. We're supposed to be making this world we live in better - the way some people are acting is so far from making the planet better that it's actually causing things to be worse.
The same type of things happened with Obama! I wasn't a fan to begin with. But I did think he did a good job and I did like to see the type of person he is come out from beyond the title. I had friends who were calling him the anti-christ and how he would single-handedly bring on another war or worse. That did not happen. People believed one hundred percent that he was going to be the end of the world, and we're all still here.
I finished my book just a few minutes after midnight while in the ER with DB. We ended up getting home around 1:30 AM, he does have the flu, the actual flu, just like I thought. 2 books out of 26 now! (I'm really hoping to hit 50, but we'll see - I figured 26 was realistic.)
I ended up being up until about 3AM - and then I slept until just after 8AM. I got Cal up, asked him to go out and get the van cleaned out real quick, got the boys and DB up. I got the boys dressed, got them all out the door.
Today - despite my letting her know that DB has the flu, like the actual influenza, get the shot to protect against, flu, DB was supposed to go give a ride to my cousin and her girls to an appointment. So DB dropped the Littles off for the bus, and then headed to her place. Shortly after he left, I messaged her and said he was on his way, that he wasn't going to class, and he'd take her to the appt and back home. So she messaged me back and said her MIL was there. I was like - wait a minute! Your MIL who has a car, and my husband with the flu who should be in bed, is going to come get you, expose your whole family to the flu? So I said "Wait! Your MIL who has a car? Why can't she take you instead of exposing anyone to the flu." She was like "She came to help me with the girls today. It's fine." And I was like "What's fine?" So she doesn't reply to me for awhile. And then I get a message from DB saying "She sent me home" ... I was like, What the EVER loving FUCK! We don't have a lot of gas, so it just felt like such a waste of gas. She could have told me "hey my MIL is here, I don't need DB" at any time during the morning - and I have no idea it wasn't thought of until (so it seemed) I said something. Because originally it sounded like she was letting me know her MIL was going with to help with the girls. It was just a shake my head moment ... slap my head moment.
I got laundry folded and waited for my flu ridden hubby to come home to die and infect me more...
Jax waited too....
He's so handsome.
I went with to go pick up the boys. Felt like utter crap. But I promised DB I'd go with because neither of us were feeling well. Although I am pretty sure I didn't say much of anything ... just cuz I felt like crap. We stopped at the pharmacy to get DB's Tamiflu - while we were there, Nathan saw 7-Eleven and started crying he was thirsty and wanted a slurpy... so we told him if he behaved, that he and Bubba could get one. And so we got them one.
He's so silly.

Jaxson loves the boys, and he tolerates a lot (A LOT) from Nathan ...
And then - after I got meds done and the room was shut for the night (around 7pm) ... and the boys were going to sleep, I ended up crashing from 7 to about 10:30 ... woke up, did my insulin shots and took my meds. Oye.
I can feel the sick coming... I can FEEL it. It's not going to be pretty. It's not going to be fun.
